Scott Ramspott is the Founder and CEO of FireplacesDirect and a recognized expert in the fireplace and hearth industry. Since beginning his career in 1998, Scott has accumulated more than 25 years of hands-on experience helping homeowners, contractors, builders, and designers select and plan fireplace solutions that bring warmth, comfort, and lasting style to their spaces.
Before founding Spotix in 2011, Scott worked across nearly every side of the hearth industry, including fireplace service and installation, retail sales management, and as an independent manufacturer representative. That diverse background gave him firsthand knowledge of fireplace products, installation considerations, the customer experience, and the challenges professionals face in the field.
Scott has remained actively involved in advancing the hearth industry throughout his career. He has held National Fireplace Institute (NFI) certifications in wood, gas, and pellet appliances, contributed to the development of NFI certification exams, served on the HPBA Expo Committee, and spoken at industry conferences, regional HPBA affiliate meetings, and educational panels focused on fireplaces, hearth products, and fire features.
His expertise includes fireplace selection, fireplace installation considerations, gas, wood, and pellet appliances, hearth products, contractor support, product selection, and helping customers avoid costly mistakes before they happen. Scott has also worked closely with leading manufacturers to improve existing products, enhance product usability, and contribute ideas for new product development.
