We’re Hawkeye fans, fishing experts, Veterans, volleyball and pickleball aficionados, hikers, brewers, gardeners, tailgaters, grillers and more. We love gathering and enjoying life.
Back at the office, our 40+ dedicated team members stay focused on two initiatives: curating a website that will help our customers find the right fireplace— or working to exceed client expectations through a personal sales consultation or detailed project estimates that bring gathering visions to life.
In 2011, after years in the hearth industry, Spotix founder Scott Ramspott started Spotix (and our family of stores) with two main visions of what Spotix would do: offer luxury hearth, patio and barbecue products that weren’t available in most brick and mortar stores, and back them with industry-leading product expertise. “Buy nice, or buy twice” has been the motto that’s resonated with team members & our clients.
Today, the Spotix family of stores includes Spotix, Firepits Direct, Fireplaces Direct and Kickass Grills. We’re proud to have been a part of over 400,000 residential or commercial “gathering” projects, we love gathering for our own team grill-out or bringing our dogs to work and we absolutely look forward to helping each client enjoy the small and big moments of everyday life.

The National Fireplace Institute®, an independent, non-profit certification agency, has created these standards for certification in the hearth industry. Only those who pass a rigorous examination covering fundamentals of proper installation receive NFI Specialist Certification. Thanks to these efforts, NFI is now recognized as the basis for licensure in several states, counties and local municipalities.
