Product Description
The Skytech Remote Control Kit for AF-LMF-RV Valve Kit gives wireless control of gas heating fireplaces with a simple click of a button. The remote control transmitter runs on (1) 12V battery that operates a 3 button ON/HI, LO, OFF system to transmit wirelessly to a receiver that operates on (4) AA batteries. The receiver box is intended for use with the AF-LMF-RV safety pilot valve to provide simple and wireless control of the fire feature.

First, let me say that
"First, let me say that I am satisfied with this kit. I received the kit promptly and it worked and was easy to install. With that said, I purchased this item to replace a faulty UN3 receiver. I had an online chat and I asked if I needed to purchase this kit (Skytech RCAF-1020-1 Remote Control Kit) or if I could purchase the UN3 receiver separately as listed on the web site and use my existing remote transmitter (RCAF-1020). I was told that my existing remote transmitter probably would not work since it was over 5 years old and the newer units used different frequencies, so I bought this kit. Once I received the kit, I installed the new UN3 receiver and set up the new remote transmitter (RCAF-1020) and everything worked fine. I decided to try the old RCAF-1020 transmitter that I had from my old unit and found that it also works with the new UN3 receiver. Although I am satisfied with this new unit, I spent over $50 more than what I had to because I was told my old remote transmitter probably would not work."
The product solved my problem
"The product solved my problem but I don't really think I needed a new remote since the ""learn"" button on the old receiver was not producing a beep when I pressed it and the old remote was producing the red light when pressed. But now that both new items are in service I'll look forward to trouble free use for a while I hope so it's all good."
