"How do you install this hood on a masonry fireplace with a metal lantel. Can it be installed with magnets? Does the hood cover over the lantel enough for it to be supported by several flat bar magnets? I think it would be very difficult to drill and mount the hood into a metal lantel."

I have existing fireplace glass

"I have existing fireplace glass doors and was able to install the vent using instructions from a different web site. It required cutting the brackets to fit behind fireplace doors since the glass doors were too tall for the bracket to fit under the lintel. I wish the vent was slightly deeper."
