Perfect for cast iron stoves, barbecue grills, stainless steel pipes, and chimney caps, this high temperature paint dries fast and has been rated for temperatures up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. NOTE: This paint is not intended for use inside a firebox.

I carefully prepared the fireplace
"I carefully prepared the fireplace to use this product. I cleaned and vacuumed the fireplace, removing all of the ashes. I washed down any residual ash and waited until the surface was dry. I taped off the surrounding area with tape and paper so there was no overspray. I painted two coats of this black 1200 Degree High Temp Spray Paint. It doesn't work. As soon as we had one fire, it removed the black and turned the background white. I am disappointed. I would not buy this product again."
