Dimplex IgniteXL Bold Electric Fireplaces

Shop the Dimplex IgniteXL Bold series, deep built-in linear electric fireplaces in 50, 60, 74, 88, and 100-inch widths. The Bold models use a deeper firebox than standard IgniteXL units, giving the flame more visual depth behind the glass.

Dimplex IgniteXL Bold Electric Fireplaces

IgniteXL Bold is the deep-firebox version of Dimplex's IgniteXL linear line. The additional firebox depth gives the flame effect more room to develop behind the glass, which produces a fire that reads with more dimension rather than appearing pressed flat against the front. For installations where the fireplace is viewed up close, or where it is the primary focal point of a room, that added depth is the reason to specify Bold over the standard line.

The series runs from 50 to 100 inches, including an 88-inch width, and a linking kit bracket is available for joining units into a continuous run beyond a single firebox width. The tradeoff for the deeper firebox is wall cavity depth, so confirm your framing can accommodate it before committing.

Why Buy a Dimplex IgniteXL Bold Electric Fireplace

  • Deeper firebox than standard IgniteXL units, giving the flame more visual depth.
  • Available in 50, 60, 74, 88, and 100-inch widths.
  • Linking kit bracket available to join multiple units into a continuous run.
  • No venting or gas supply required, so very wide installations stay practical.

What to Consider When Buying

  • Check your available wall cavity depth first. The Bold models require more depth than standard IgniteXL units, and this is the specification most likely to rule them out.
  • Get the required rough opening for your chosen width before framing.
  • If you are planning a run longer than a single firebox, confirm the linking kit requirements as part of the framing plan rather than after.
  • Verify the electrical requirement, which commonly means a dedicated circuit at these widths.
  • Compare against the standard IgniteXL line if wall depth is tight and the added flame depth is not essential.
