Gas is the largest part of the range. The Ascent series covers traditional direct vent fireplaces in 30, 36, and 42-inch widths, and extends into Multi-View peninsula and double sided models for a fireplace that opens onto two rooms. Vector is the single largest series, with Altitude X, Luminous, and Oakville alongside it. Most models are offered with a choice of electronic or millivolt ignition — the difference between better efficiency with remote and thermostat control, and a fireplace that still lights when the power is out.
Electric covers Cineview, Rosedale, Astound, Element, and SlimMount in built-in, insert, and wall-mount formats. Cineview and Rosedale are each available as both a built-in and an insert, so the same fireplace works whether you are framing a new wall or converting a masonry fireplace that no longer gets used.
For a real wood fire, the High Country 5000 and 8000 are factory-built fireplaces with large fireboxes, sized to heat a room rather than decorate it.

How to Choose a Napoleon Fireplace
- Decide on fuel first. Direct vent gas needs a viable vent path but gives real flame and heat; electric needs only framing and a circuit; wood needs a full Class A chimney.
- Pick the format next: a built-in framed into a wall, an insert for an existing fireplace opening, or a wall-mount electric unit where the wall cannot be opened.
For gas, confirm your vent run length and elbow limits before settling on a location, since that constraint decides more installations than framing does.
Choose ignition deliberately. Millivolt models operate during a power outage; electronic ignition is more efficient and adds remote and thermostat control. - For multi-sided models, plan the finish on every visible face and check sightlines from both rooms.
