In 2005, Fire By Design began offering electronic ignition components for outdoor fire features. Unsatisfied with existing designs, company founder Bob Roman began working with a local engineering firm to come up with a better solution. The resulting All Weather Electronic Ignition Systems (AWEIS) make up the backbone of Fire By Design's impressive outdoor fire pit business.
